About the ICTU Centres
These centres were established to campaign for the rights and the interests of the unemployed, the marginalised and the exlcuded in the same way that Trade Unions campaign for the rights of the employed. In this way the trade union movement could be reflective of all of societies needs.
Each of the centres offer provision which directly reflects the identifed needs of their own area. Activities range from training, to research, to overseas exchanges, to advice giving to campaigning on current issues.
The site is updated and maintained by each Centre and hosted by the Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre.

Resource Centres for the Unemployed- New Website
Posted by: Admin on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 - 04:08 PM
Technology has a vital important role in the maintenance relationships between organisations addressing social need across the border region. Or such is the contention of the delegates at a EURES funded Seminar promoted by the Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre on the development of content for the resourcecentres website, a new site offering news and information on local events, current schemes and activities run by the Unemployed Resource Centres affiliated to the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, in the border region.
